A little while back, I was preparing a slideshow for a live workshop on logo design. I wanted to introduce my audience to the different types of logos before showing examples of good and bad ones, and before getting into the whole process of how to locate designers, hire the right one, and communicate with him or her properly.

However, while doing some research, I noticed there weren’t any good images that categorized the different types of logos in one place. So that’s why I decided to create my own infographic on the subject. Below is this graphic, with the three different types of logos, and two other variations.

By the way, if you want a deeper look into that process of getting a logo that’s perfect for you, then check out this article.

  2. I love looking at visuals, and creating visuals to explain things (especially on whiteboards!). This infographic really helps illustrate your point.

Another example of clear thinking to differentiate between very important aspects of logo design. Many of our clients don’t appreciate the difference and are always surprised to hear our definition, which your infographic will definitely make clearer for them. Thanks.
